I still have a few travel days to upload from our southbound trip to Garden Grove, coming soon.
Welcome to our trip journal and our wonderful summer Alaska Adventure! We had some rain through southern Alaska making it hard to catch good photos in dense clouds and rain, but we did have several good days of sun and we got some great glacier shots.
When we visited Denali National Park in July, very smoky due to wildfires, we did NOT get to see Mt. McKinley - but did see lots of wildlife. We saw glaciers in Portage, visited Homer, Kenai & Soldotna, then over to Seward where we spent three days along the gorgeous Reserrection Bay with views of glaciers. Then over to Valdez, more glaciers. As weather was changing it was time to leave. Back up to Tok, out to Yukon Territory & British Columbia and down to visit Haines, Skagway, and down to Hyder, AK.

ALSO. . . YOU CAN CHOOSE A DIFFERENT MAP BELOW. TO SEE A CLOSE UP MAP AREA INSTEAD OF LOOKING AT A LARGE AREA MAP, JUST CLICK ON THE MAP NAMES BELOW THE MAP FOR A DIFFERENT VIEW.
You can also choose to VIEW a different YEAR from the drop down box in the upper right corner.
