The State Park Campground at Boonesborough is a "family" type park. We usually have the grandkids and nephews out for activities (basketball, putt putt golf, bike riding) and a cookout while we are there. Seems everyone has bikes, electric scooters, or golf carts so the park roads are very busy. The park includes 200 plus acres alongside the Kentucky River and includes a Kentucky River museum, old Fort Boonesborough, and many historical monuments as well as the Campground.
