With Christmas doin's cleaned up and packed away we have begun preparation, for perhaps our Grandest Adventure, in earnest. Got our prescriptions for necessary meds (malaria) yesterday and shots (ugh) today. The big cameras and lens have been tested and a new HD Camcorder (haven't shot video for years, but just in case..) arrives tomorrow.
Already have a few pairs of convertible pants with zip-off legs and a few shirts so I'm pretty well set. Most of the next 40 days efforts will be devoted to Sally's search for "just the right" clothes, accessories, cosmetics, etc.
I'll be constructing a shell itinerary over the next few days. It takes a lot of connect time to get the locations entered and plotted on the map and it's sometimes tough to do on the road.
