Albuquerque from the East

Sandia Peak from the Trail

Hi Katie!

End of the Trail

Well, we have arrived in Albuquerque where we had planned a 5-day stay and visit with Jeff. However, things changed dramatically on Wednesday! We had dropped the See Ya off at a Freightliner shop for routine maintenance and spent the day doing some shopping and then catching a movie with Jeff and his friend, Danielle. During the movie my phone vibrated. When I went to the lobby and returned the call we got the news that the technician, in attempting to back the See Ya into the garage, had scraped the side near the rear of the motorhome. Freightliner will, of course, do the repair and pay for our extended stay. But we don't know for sure how long it will take.

We moved to the American RV Park on the hill west of Albuquerque and have booked it for a week. Today Sue, Arnie and I went for a hike on a trail on the east side of town in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains. Although not as scenic as some of the recent national park hikes, it was a nice hike that provided views of Albuquerque to the west and the mountains to the east.

Although our arrival in Denton will now be delayed, we plan to make the best of things and enjoy our visit with Jeff and Albuquerque.
