We are headed west on I-70 looking for a spot for the night. The eastern edge of Kansas is hilly covered with trees in bright yellow, orange, and gold with a little green thrown in. The ground is limestone and looks like layers built upon layers.
We decide on a small town named Paxico just 22 miles west of Topeka. The park is small, only 30 sites. It is a Passport America park so we are paying $12.50 for full hookups.
The small town is a National Historic District and is filled with antique stores. Just outside of town is a winery with tasting.
