Sojourn to the Southeast travel blog


The drive today barely warmed up the engine; 31 miles and we are in Naples at our home for the next week. Crystal Lake RV Resort is a beautiful park, with a mix of semi-permanent trailers and RV’s. All the sites are paved, wide, beautifully landscaped, with a little laundry/storage building on each site, many with a lovely lake view, and all very expensive. The community has lots of activities and our impression of the residents is that they are very friendly; everyone waved when we passed by on Foxy’s walks.

After we got settled and had lunch, we went to Super Target to get some salad makings. I much prefer Super Target to Super Wal-Mart so I am thrilled to have one within 5 miles. I am also looking for a small point-and-shoot camera to throw in my purse so I browsed the cameras while Joe browsed the other electronics. I think I’ve settled on a model so now I need to shop the internet for the best price. I also spied a place where I might be brave enough to go have my hair cut; that’s always an adventure.

Talked to my Mom & my sister and we had dinner at home. There is a little rain in the weather forecast for the next few days but we hope to get a little sightseeing in anyway. So, stay tuned.
