FULLTIMING WITH SUE, JOHN AND ARNIE A Surprise Trip to Idaho and Montana

Albuquerqe to Silverton May 18, 2008

We had an interesting drive today from Albuquerque to Silverton, CO. We left at about 10:00 and headed north on I-25 then west, northwest on U.S. 550 through typical New Mexico countryside.

As we turned due north and crossed into Colorado, there was a noticeable change in the scenery.

As the road became increasingly undulating and we gained altitude we found ourselves with snow covered terrain beside the road. We also began to see the remarkable colors of the Colorado Rockies.

The See Ya performed beautifully as we dealt with steep inclines and high altitude. We peaked at an altitude of more than 10,500 feet before descending to the campground in Silverton.

Silverton is at an altitude of over 9000 feet and provided some spots of snow that Arnie loved.
