William Taff's home, Cincinnati, Ohio

Finlay market

5/21 – 5/24

Next we headed north up US127 and I-71 and I-75 to West Chester, Ohio. We had an appointment at the Cummins service center for the 22nd and we planned on staying in their parking lot until Memorial Day because the local campgrounds were filled up. While I was waiting for the service people to complete the service work (normal yearly service on both the house engine and the generator engine) son Peter along with our two grandchildren picked up Joan and went to the zoo and to Findlay Market – both in Cincinnati.

The next day Joan and I drove to the William Taff house, a National Historic Site in Cincinnati. Our 27th president lived in this house from birth to the age of 18. We got a personal tour of the house by a park ranger. In the afternoon we went over to Peter and Tori’s house to baby sit and we stayed the night.
