Meandering to Quebec & The Maritime Provinces travel blog

It rained fairly steady overnight but, luckily, by morning it was pretty dry. Joe & Howard did the camp breakdown and we were on the road by 9 o'clock.

It didn't stay dry long....before we left Cape Breton, it was raining pretty heavily...mostly, making a mess out of the rigs and tow cars. We crossed the Canso Causeway leaving Cape Breton behind. We want to come back here for the fall foliage and the Celtic Colors Music Festival.

We found a couple of places to stop for quick breaks and a nice area for a lunch break. We're going to overnight at the same campground where we stayed when we arrived in Nova Scotia, Loch Lomond in Amherst. We remembered the campground because it has the worst mosquitoes; they were still ferrocious and we had to get the bug spray out before doing anything outside. We decided not to both unhooking the cars and had supper at home. We visited awhile and called it an early night..........We're back in the U.S.A. tomorrow if all goes as planned.
