Big 'Ol Beach

Today we moved out to the coastal town of Westport and the American Sunset RV Park. The trip was very short at about 25 miles.

Our last day trip from Hoquiam was to the coast and back to the location of the Green River Tavern, Copalis Beach. We drove the short road west from the tavern and parked on the roadside. It took a half-mile walk through the dunes and a campground and over a pedestrian bridge to get to the beach.

The weather was pretty abysmal with cool temps, clouds, and a strong breeze. We hiked on down the beach about a mile and back. Although it wasn't a great visit for Sue and I, Arnie had a good time!

We hope to get some better beach time during our stay in Westport.
