The new See Ya performed well its first day of travel as we headed east until we got to El Paso. As we rolled through El Paso it developed a rattle that was apparently in the chassis somewhere just to the right of the driver’s seat. The question is whether it is a suspension issue or something else. We spent the night in El Paso and decided that, since the coach was operating smoothly that the noise was not impacting safety and that we would drive on to Dallas and then have it checked out by a Freightliner shop.
On Tuesday we drove to Odessa where we had lived for five years at the end of the last century. We stayed at the Midessa RV Park where I had lived in our Bounder for the first eight months of residence in Odessa. Odessa is not a pretty place. It sits in the middle of some of the most uninteresting terrain that we have seen. But it is, thanks to the current oil boom, quite prosperous today.
We had a wonderful visit thanks to an opportunity to visit one of our favorite Mexican spots, La Bodega, and to have dinner with two neat people, Toni Lange and Lynn Acosta.

Tomorrow we head for Austin in our slightly noisy motorhome.
