Near the End
We ran the Wacamas Lake Races today. I ran the half marathon and Sue ran the 4-mile run. The Half had two nasty hills, one at the half-way point and one at the end. Sue had the same hill at the end of her race. The races started and ended on the football field of Camas High School.
I dropped the camera as we were getting out of the car to warm up for the run. So that means no photos of the course I have included some less-than-clear photos of us from the runs.
Let's talk about me first. The best that can be said is that I finished by 16th half since we hit the road. It was the longest one so far mostly due to high temperatures and those nasty hills.
Sue, on the other hand, walked away with first place in her age group, besting three other competitors by 5 minutes or more. It was an outstanding performance including conquering that finishing hill. You go girl!!
