Lethbridge Bridge

7/2

Fifty-two miles up PH4 we stopped for the night at a Cosco parking lot in Lethbridge, Alberta. We went to the Bridgeview RV Resort and visited with Arne and Phyllis Murray who we jam with in Casa Grande, Arizona. We visited Fort Whoop-Up, which is a recreation of an American 1869 fort and trading post. The fort chronicles the history of the whiskey trade which lead to the demise of the bison and the Blackfeet Indians. We checked out the largest and highest trestle bridge in the world – it was certainly high and long – especially when viewing from underneath. Our last tourist stop was the Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens which displays traditional Japanese landscaping and architecture (the building was built in Japan with no nails, then taken apart, shipped to Canada and rebuilt).
