Gail & Howard having Lobster Dinner

We moved to the north side of the island today to put us in a more central location to see the rest of the island and to put a little more infrastructure around us for shopping, activities, dining out, etc. Since PEI is the smallest of the Canadian provinces, going from the south to the north side of the island was about a 35-mile drive....and that was taking the long way around.

The drive was uneventful except for a little construction tie up at one of the intersections; we were delayed maybe 15 minutes or so. We are at the KOA in Cavendish, which is right in the heart of Anne of Green Gable country. We plan to stay about a week or so. The campground is very crowded; August must be the prime month for traveling and family holidays here.

We took advantage of the dining out options and went to Fisherman's Wharf for their lobster supper. In addition to the main course of lobster, crab, shrimp or some other items, seafood chowder and a 60-ft. salad bar with all-you-cared-to-eat mussels was included. We were stuffed when we rolled our chairs away from the table. We took a little walk to work off a few of the calories and Howard was checking out the deep sea fishing boats; he might do that later durng our stay.
