We awoke to a bright sunny morning; nothing like the rains we experienced yesterday. We would stay another day and do the NP but we have a reservation in PEI and I think we're both anxious to get there because it's one of our favorite areas of Atlantic Canada. So, we broke camp, Joe hooked up the car and we were on our way for the short ride to PEI.
Of course, the most dramatic part of this drive is the trip over the Confederation Bridge, which connects New Brunswick and PEI by road. The bridge is 13 km and is the longest bridge in the world spanning water which freezes. There is no charge to travel over the bridge to PEI...but, you must pay to get off the island, either by road or ferry.
We had chosen a campground pretty close to the bridge; we'll be hooking up with Gail & Howard later and this is an easy rendevouz point. So, we're settled in at Sun-n-Shade RV Park. Well, it took a little longer than usual to settle. Today is one of the warmest days we've had and, while it's only in the low 80's, with the humidity, it feels like 100. So, we hit the A/C and blew the circuit breaker. This is a 30 amp connection and we should be able to run one A/C compressor easily with our other appliances on propane. Joe summoned the maintenance man and soon the owners arrived in a golf cart. They explained that we were accidentally placed in a site that is not a true 30 amp site; two sites share the same circuit. Joe had already figured this out and had started the generator to start cooling the coach. They apologized and suggested we move to another site; we moved and we have a strong solid 30 amp connection.
The rest of the afternoon was uneventful. Our mail had caught up to us here and I spent some time going through that and taking care of bills, etc. Joe did the month-end computer backups. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice so we'll get out and do some sightseeing.
