Here we are again…. I’m getting better since it has only been a couple of days.
We have had a busy time catching up on domestic duties that I neglected while Ken and Sandy were with us.,, That is what is the best about full timing….. If you don’t do it today, there is tomorrow or a few tomorrow’s later.
Yesterday we drove over to the area that our kids live because they were having a county fair. My Daughter Coleen is very artistic and had a booth with her friend at the fair selling her crafts…. We went to visit her booth only to find out that it didn’t open until 5pm….. Not a problem, the Maplewood Mall was just a short distance away so after a stop at Red Lobster for another fix of walleye, Bill dropped me off there while he did some other things… I searched and finally found a place for a pedicure and manicure… I was gun-shy after the awful experience at the last one where I couldn’t walk for about 3 weeks without a lot of pain but I really lucked out with this one… It took about an hour for the whole procedure but I felt so much better when it was over….. By this time Coleen was at her booth setting up so we went back to the Ramsey County Fair…. Her booth was right behind the petting zoo and I just had to take a picture of our newest friend…. This camel was so cute… Well not really cute but she was so ugly that she was cute…. You be the judge.
When we left the fair we remembered why we hated travel in the Metro…. It was bumper to bumper traffic at about 5 miles an hour for about 35 miles before we finally stopped at a grocery store until rush hour was over… Ha…. It was 7:00 and still bumper to bumper. Oh how we hate this.
Today we packed everything up and drove the 200 miles from where we were staying in the Cities to the outskirts of Duluth…. Actually, we crossed the big bridge over Lake Superior and came to Wisconsin where we will be for the next couple of weeks….. We will have lots to tell you and hopefully some nice pictures to show you of this beautiful area..
