When we went to bed last night it had to have been over 90 in the RV. We only have 15 amps so can't run the air, so all the windows are open and the fans are on.

Sometime in the middle of the night, the thunderstorms started, lighting, thunder, wind and rain. Mike got up and closed everything and turned off all the fans. I woke up drenched in sweat it was so humid.

The storm had scattered the recycle bins all around the cul-de-sac when we got up so we did clean up duty.

We only have about an hours drive today so we stayed and talked with Art and Carol until they had to leave for the Animal Shelter.

The bridge into Canada is a toll bridge $7.50 for us and the entrance is like a maze. Customs on the Canadian side was the usual questions, guns, drugs, liquor, where are you going, how long will you be in the country, where are you from.

We found the Windsor Yacht Club with no problem, called Steve Willing and got everything set up before Steve got there.

We toured the rebuilt club, we had seen it years ago at an IOBG Regional Meeting and the restoration is wonderful. It is a very warm, inviting club and the people are very friendly.

Steve then drove us around and showed us some of the other clubs and housing developments. Most of the houses around here are made of brick or stone. Italian stonemasons are very prevalent in this area. The houses are huge and right on the water set way back from the road.

Another wonderful thing about this area is the waterfront area of Windsor from the bridge down past the yacht club, about 12 miles, is all park, bathing beaches, running/bike paths and beautifully landscaped. The Detroit side is very dull in comparison.

We stop at the Sportsman's Club and have one of the specials, chicken wings with a special sauce. They are wonderful and just right for a light lunch. We head back to the club and sit out on the deck watching the swans, boats and helicopters

Around 3:00 we are all yawning and decide it is time for naps; Steve heads home and we head to the RV.

Steve and Shirley meet us at the RV around 6:00 and we go over to the club for dinner. Again the atmosphere is great, the food tasty and plentiful and everyone is most friendly. Great club and they are all really happy for Shirley, today was her last day at work, she is officially retired.

We said our goodbyes around 11:oo p.m. It had been a wonderful visit; a great chance to relax and enjoy the Willing's company and leisurely see another part of this great area. Thank Steve and Shirley, can't wait until we can reciprocate.
