Our major purpose for swinging back through the Dallas area is to complete some heart testing recommended by my general practitioner and a cardiologist. It has stretched out a bit as the first test, a nuclear stress test, has led to another, something called a CTA scheduled for this week. This has caused us to extend our stay but has provided a chance to see all of our friends in this area.

Our extending stay has given us a great chance to spend quality time with Jeff. He is still living in Denton and pursuing his music career. We joined him for a modern classical recital at SMU. Each time that we have joined Jeff for a musical experience it has been unique, interesting and entertaining. This was no exception!

Jeff left Saturday to take part in a three-week seminar in Banff. This will be his second experience with the program in Banff.

Of course we have spent time with Lisa, George and Chase Karr who are doing well and working hard. Lisa is, as always, busy running her school and administering the HEB School District Career and Tech program. George has taken on added responsibilities at The Academy as a Department Chair and has added work resulting from the new addition to the school. Chase was struggling with "radicals", one of the silliest topics in Algebra.

The Karrs invited a few friends over to give us a chance to see them. We enjoyed the get together and had a good opportunity to visit with Eric and Katie Creeger, Mark and Angela Stevens, and Keithie Rebello. All of these folks are friends from The Academy and we had much to talk about as the school goes through some changes.

Manuel Reyes had worked with me as an Assistant Principal at both The Career Center and The Academy. We got together with him and his wife, Velma, for dinner at the Texas Roadhouse. We had a great time reminiscing and talking about Manuel's current work at The Academy.

I failed in my picture taking duties but have uploaded a couple of older photos of these friends from a past visit.

Scott has flown in from Los Angeles to visit friends here and will be joining us tomorrow for a short visit before he departs on Tuesday. We also plan to see some other friends in the upcoming week.
