Alissa, Xavier and Michael

We had such a great day with the kids yesterday. Alissa had to work but Michael and Xavier came to our place in the morning and we went out to see as little more of Billings. We have been here several times before but each season is different. This time of the year it is so green and beautiful. We wound up in the renovated district of Montana Ave. where we checked out what the brochures told us to see. One of the main things I was interested in was the Depot. In keeping with the last several months, we have visited the depots all over the country. Billings Depot was exciting for me because it was the Northern Pacific Depot. Now this is the railroad my Dad worked on for about 40 years and my very favorite. Much to our dismay, they have renovated everything around the depot and even added a couple of restaurants but the station itself was not open to the public. In fact, we walked around to the track side and had a hard time even walking throughthe area. There were trucks parked on the platform that we had to get around. It was very disappointing for me and I sure hope Billings works on improving their tourist attractions to make them attractive for tourists before we get there again. Michael knew of a great little Asian restaurant across the street where we went for lunch. It was not Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or any of the rest but just Asian.. What a great idea. You could find anything your taste desired and ours was set on sweet and sour. Great choice. Alissa and a co-worker joined us. Super…Michael drove us around more of the sights in Billings before we returned to our campground. We spent the rest of the day just enjoying being together while I was able to hold my little guy and kiss those soft little cheeks all afternoon. Michael was so good to just let me have my time. I was in seventh heaven. When Alissa finished work, she came to our campground too. She had never seen our new house and since they are both interested in RV’ing, she wanted to see how we lived. We ordered pizza and Bill and Michael went to pick it up. That and a salad was all we needed for supper. After Alissa had been gone from Xavier all day, I knew I would have to share him but being the sweetheart that she is, she let me have more time with him. I am so lucky to have such a great family. Because it was such a long title to call me great-grandma, Michael named me G.G. Now how sweet is that. Well GG and G-Bill had tears in our eyes when they left and they will remain there until we see them again. It was so hard on me that I couldn’t write this story until now and another whole day has past. We drove over 300 miles and are now in Sundance, Wyoming : Just a short distance from the South Dakota border. I’ll tell you about it later. OK?............
