The next two days we continued our journey along US84. Our first night stop was at a Wal-Mart in Abilene, Texas. Joan was really impressed with the Wal-Mart and has selected it as the number one Wal-Mart in the world! She marveled over the spaciousness, prices, and availability of many unique products. On the last day of the month we departed from US84 (which started heading northerly) and followed US180, US62 and SR18. After two days and 417 miles we ended the month with a stop at another Wal-Mart in Hobbs City, New Mexico. Found a great 4 star Mexican restaurant in Hobbs called La Paloma (3414 N Lovington Hwy 575-392-4633). Excellent chili rellenos and cheese enchiladas.
This month we put 1593 miles on the house and 242 miles on the Jeep.
