Here we go again and again travel blog

We woke up to the pelicans coming to visit

I don't know if I mentioned that this is Long's Peak in...

Not just a few pelicans

Oh boy, my Blue Heron is back

A whole different sunset

Aren't the clouds beautiful?

Awesome

My favorite.... Can you see the babies? Not sure if they are...

Lots has happened since my last post that included the beautiful sunset pictures on our first night at St Vrain State Park. I will try to take them in order so I get it correct. I have a tendency to mix things up when my mind wanders out of order.

We woke up early to make sure that we got our Big Sky into Camping World early in the morning. We had an appointment to get our washer fixed and we didn’t want to spend a whole day there. Everything started out just fine. We were taken right in and did the paperwork and before we knew it, someone picked up the BS and took it to the service area. It was a very nice facility and everyone treated us great. We did a little shopping and then left with the promise of a phone call as soon as things were done….

We drove a few miles up the road to Loveland where we found a whole bunch of shopping centers. One of them was an outlet mall and I have not been in one for a long time so Bill dropped me off while he went to get an oil change in the truck. He tried everywhere without success until he found a Super Walmart. At that time, he called me and said the truck was scheduled to be serviced but to take my time shopping. Opps, that sounded suspicious but he was right. I was just ready to enter the last store in the entire mall that I hadn’t already gone through when he called me to see where I was. He picked me up and we went for a late, late lunch. Bill had passed a Mimi’s Café and since we both like the food there we found an outside table and had our favorite meatloaf sandwiches. We each brought home ½ of this meal since there is no way we could eat it all.

We hadn’t heard from Camping World and it was now 3:30 so we returned there to see what was happening. We were told that the new parts were in the washer and they just had to test it. It should be ready in an hour. As they closed at 5:00 we were sure that it would be.

Well we didn’t want to stand around any longer so we went back to Walmart so I could get a much needed pedicure. After being in the desert for so long I felt like my feet were leather. I was able to get right in and a nice young gal started on my Spa Pedicure. Usually I enjoy this procedure immensely but not this time. While she was trying to remove the dead skin she was talking to her co-workers and not looking at me at all. She rubbed so hard the she broke the skin on my heel and I have had trouble ever since. She did put antiseptic on right away that made me almost go through the ceiling from the pain but all night long, whenever I moved in bed it hurt like h#@l.…

We got back to Camping World five minutes before they closed and knew immediately there was something wrong when we didn’t see our house out in front. It didn’t take us long before we overheard that we had water pouring off our roof. OMG. What did they do? I had told them twice that the washer drains right into the sewer so it must be hooked up to sewer and open before using. Well what does a dumb blond know about it right? They said we would have to leave it there and they would take everything apart to find the leak….. No way, not our house.. To make a long story short, we took the Big Sky back to our campsite and told them we would be back in the morning for them to find the leak. When we got home, Bill hooked us back up to sewer and opened the hoses and I tried the washer. It worked perfect and I did four loads of laundry last night without a leak. I don’t know if it was because of the new parts they put in or the fact that I told them I didn’t think I was getting any cold water and could they check to see that the faucets were both open.. Guess what, the cold one was not. Now how could three techs not notice that?

While I was doing those four loads of laundry, the sun was setting at St.Vrain State Park. As beautiful as the red sunset was the night before, this time it was an awesome yellow/gold. We had pelicans swimming with their little babies and it doesn’t get any better then this. I sure hope I captured it on film for you.

Today we returned to Rocky Mountain National Park. It has only been five days since we were there with Jan but what a difference five days can make here at this time of the year. It is getting late so I will post this story in the morning…………. Night…..
