River Walk, Augusta, Georgia

The last two days of the month we continued another 277 miles on our journey southward - stopping overnight at Wal-Mart parking lots in South Augusta, Georgia and Waycross, Georgia. In Augusta we drove into town to visit the visitor center and walk along the river walk. The river walk is about 2 miles long and very attractive. The brick walkway winds its way between trees and flower beds with a constant view of the Savannah River. The walk was quite a contrast with the city of Augusta which had an old and warn-out look; every block seemed to have one or more abandoned buildings and homes.
In November we put 1193 miles on the house and 289 miles on the Jeep
