After being parked at Rockwell for 2 ½ months, there were lots of little things to be done; but, Joe had completed all the pre-departure chores by late Sunday night. We didn’t need to hurry this morning; but, we were anxious to get going so we were hooked up and ready to roll at 8:30 a.m.
The drive to Tulsa is fairly easy on the turnpike and we’ve done it many times so the roads are familiar. We made a couple of stops for us and Foxy at the various service plazas. We stopped for lunch at Vinita and we were going to grab something at McDonalds until we saw the lines of kids coming off multiple school buses. We nixed that idea and made a sandwich in the motor home.
Before long, we left Oklahoma and entered Missouri. Just before Joplin, the Pressure Pro sensor for the driver front tire alarmed. Joe was fairly confident it was a false alarm because he hadn’t felt any difference in the handling of the coach. However, we were at an exit with a Petro so we decided better safe than sorry and pulled off there. I took Foxy for a walk and Joe checked the tire; it was fine. Joe suspected the sensor might have vibrated loose and wasn’t registering properly.
We completed our 237 mile journey for the day at Carthage and we are at Big Red Barn RV Park for 2 nights. This is a nice park, with lots of trees, but our satellite comes in OK so we’re happy.
