10/14 – 10/15

David and Dianne headed for Flagstaff while we traveled 22 miles (SR316, SR261, US163, US191) to Sand Island, a BLM campground near Bluff, Utah. While at Sand Island we took a trip to Hovenweep National Monument which is located on the Utah/Colorado border. This was an excellent stop. We took a two-mile hike which brought us to a number of pueblo ruins that were used during the 1200’s. We also visited the Cedar Mesa Pottery Factory in Bluff and took their self-guided tour. We could not resist buying a couple items.
