St.Johns to Gander, NL - 208 miles - August 12, 2006

Rain was in the forecast for today. We were lucky to get about 75 miles before it began. Good road most of the way with a few construction zones. The first 40 miles was a retrace of our trip into St. Johns. No moose or other animals today but lots of warning signs. The last 50 miles or so we would have had nice water views, but the rain limited the visual scene.

One of the Welcome to Gandor signs is at the entry to our campground. Our CG "don't need no stinkin' speed bumps". Just lets the potholes grow. Our CG does have a nice walking trail and lots of wild blueberrys. But, wild blueberrys are small - about the size of a small pea, on down.

Not many photo-ops today.
