We reluctantly must head south; it's just too cold here. The RV Park is sold out for the Columbus Day weekend so we got going early to beat the rush out of town. It was a cool, wet, windy, dreary day. Luckily, we had planned a short day...about 170 miles to Harpursville, just a little north of Binghamton. We had called for a reservation because of the holiday weekend and when we arrived, the owner seemed happy to see us because he was expecting us yesterday....I know I clearly said Saturday night; oh well, availability wasn't a big issue but wet was....Where he planned to put us was pretty wet and he was concerned with a big rig; so, he moved us to another area...30 amp, no sewer, oh well, we'll survive one night. So, we got settled and I took Foxy for a long walk....I was perished when we got back. Boy, I love my new Keurig coffee maker...3 minutes and a fresh HOT cup of coffee. That did the trick. The night-time temps are down in the 30's and there is some talk of snow in the higher elevations...yuck, we're out of here; we don't do snow anymore. There is a small rally of Good Sam coaches here too and they didn't look as if they were having a great time...freezing cold in the pavilion with just a couple of tarps to stop the biting winds. We're going to call it an early night and head on southwest tomorrow.
