Louisbourg to Truro, NS - 234 miles - August 27, 2006
Todays drive was long, but easy. The roads were mostly smooth with just enough "bumps" to keep things shook up.
Our rigs were parked around a large grassy field. It was a Sunny Sunday Afternoon which made for a relaxing Social Circle. Tonight was scheduled as the "unofficial" farewell dinner - a Pizza supper. We have a Caravan sponsored farewell dinner the last night of the tour, but in a restaurant not suitable for speeches and tomfoolery.
Our birdwatchers, Bruce and Olive, had Don present a photo of a rare "Elliebird" to our Wagonmistress. Jan sang an RV song; "A Motorhome Built for Two" for us. Lee bailed me out of a less than successful effort to share another song suitable for an RV anthem: Sam Stones' "Ain't It a Wonderful Day". I am a novice dulcimer player, but can't sing a lick. We also had entertaining contributions from Art and Jake-the-Jokester.
Todays photos include the tour members.
