The sun came out and things were a lot better yesterday. We still took our own truck (Jeff’s this time) over to the Expo Center but I heard that they added some extra busses so the lines weren’t so long and without the rain it was much nicer walking around the grounds.
We didn’t have too much time for shopping because of other things on our agenda but we were able to pick up some things that we wanted from Camping World and they took Bill back to the parking lot with them so we wouldn’t have to carry the big sewer storage pipes around all day.
Next on our agenda was setting up an appointment with the Montana dealer for some warrantee work on the Big Sky. We found their exhibit and the fellow there was able to hook us up with the service department where we made an appointment for next week.
We also made an appointment with Camping World to find out and fix our new washer that doesn’t work . Oh the joys of a new RV.
A friend of our friends Garry and Jenny was at the rally and had contacted us to finally meet up. They have been following our journey and knew we were here so we met Ron and Betty and had a nice visit. Later we all met up with Jan and Jeff at a nice sit down restaurant in the casino that is right next to the Expo.. It was nice to have a quiet place to eat lunch and the six of us had a nice time. More nice people. We just find them everywhere in this RV lifestyle.
After lunch we went back to our site and had a nice little rest before we went out for dinner. We all had decided to skip the evening show and go out instead. I’m sure that Rita Coolege did a great job but we just wanted a quite evening. Jan had made reservations at PF Changs and were we ever glad that she did. When we arrived, the lines were very long but we walked in and got seated immediately. It was also Prom Night and what fun it was to see these teens arriving in their limo’s with their beautiful dresses and tuxes. Everyone was on their best adult behavior and it brought back so many memories.
When we looked out the window this morning I counted ten balloons going up. Enjoy the pictures.
We’re off to the Expo for day three……………
