Rough Roads
We left Amarillo about 8:30am yesterday and had about 280 miles to Santa Fe. The scenery through the Texas Panhandle was kinda boring after the first few hours but as we got to New Mexico, it changed a lot. I love the beautiful red mesa's. Once we turned off I-40 and headed North to Santa Fe, we ran into a lot of construction. We felt like we were back in Alaska for awhile but even with all the delays, we arrived at our campground, Santa Fe Skies, about the same time as our friends Jan and Jeff did. They came from Arizona and we will spend the next week with them. Both here and at the Rally in Albuquerque.
Wow, what a shock: Both Jeff and Jan have joined Jenny Craig to lose weigh and has it ever worked. They look GREAT. Jan has lost 45# and is down to a size 6. I am so jealous.
After we all got set up and they fed and walked their three dogs, we went out for dinner at a good little Mexican restaurant called Maria's.
Today we will check out some places together and I'll bring my camera.
