The Rally, Albuquerque, NM

Balloon Glow, The Rally, Albuquerque, NM

4/17 – 4/20

A short 87 mile drive on I-40 brought us to Albuquerque, New Mexico and the Great American Rally. This is a rally sponsored by a number of RV-oriented businesses including Good Sam, Coast to Coast and Camping World. We came to the rally because of the entertainment – and it was as good as we expected. The performers included Neil Sedaka, Rita Coolidge, Osmond’s and Papa Doo Run Run. They also had an excellent mariachis band that played a couple of afternoons. We went to a few seminars that were excellent and more that were not. There was a large number of venders and we managed to find a few things to purchase.

We went to an excellent Mexican restaurant (4 stars) called Cervantes (5801 Gibson Blvd. SE, Albuquerque, 502-262-2253). They had excellent tamales, chili rellenos and cheese enchiladas. Thanks to Bill and Diane for recommending it to us.
