Here we go again and again travel blog


So far, our trip has been a very easy drive. The first night we stopped at a nice park on a lake in the Florida Panhandle. Since it was Friday night, the park was full of families with children but we were so tired that we didn’t even hear them.. Saturday we continued on I-10 to Bay St Louis, MS. That means we had breakfast in Florida, lunch at a rest stop in Alabama and dinner in Mississippi. How’s that for jet setting?Last night we stopped just off I-49 in Louisiana. We came thru some of the neatest swamp lands in America during the drive. This would have an area we would have loved to spend a few days exploring if we weren’t so pressed for time. .. We did stop at a visitors center though and saw a movie about the area… There was a campground just down the road and they offered swamp boat tours ; next time we will stay a few days and take that tour.…. We also had to by-pass one of our favorite places this time but we will get to New Orleans again and this time we will stay a few days.Today will be a short drive day as we plan on stopping overnight at one of our friends place just over the Texas border. Can’t wait to see David and Shirley again. The last time we were with them was in Fredericksburg two years ago. They are two of our favorite people and we look forward to seeing their home….
