Mike and Roxanne travel east

Oct 13.

We picked Lynne up at 2:00 a.m. this morning and went back to the RV to sleep for a few hours.

It was 11:30 before we finally left the RV and headed towards Sandy Hook and the Gateway National Recreation Area.

Lynne got a chance to play in the Atlantic Ocean for the first time and we explored the U.S. Life Saving Station the predecessor to the Coast Guard. We then drove to the Matawan train station and headed into New York City for a few hours.

We did a few firsts for Lynne, hot dog from a vendor, Times Square, rode the subway, and rode a city bus. We checked out tickets for shows, picked up Lynne's weekly Metro pass and walked around a while. We kept it a short day and came home at first dark. Tomorrow we will do this again and see more things.
