Up early and out the door, that is after three of us have fought for the bathroom, had breakfast and everyone had a mug of something to drink for the ride to the train station.
We head down to the Battery to get tickets for the ferry ride to Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty. The line is huge so we check out Castle Clinton, Wall Street, and then head over to the Brooklyn Bridge.
Eventually we have walked across the bridge and we get lunch at a small restaurant in Brooklyn. Next it is a subway to Coney Island where we take a few minutes to look around. It is closed for the season but we see Nathan's the birth of hot dogs on Coney.
We start back and by the time we hit the Penn Station it is dark and time to head home.
