To Jefferys Baii
Another short drive today. We had an optional side trip to see a Big Tree. The entrance looked more like a pull-off and I passed it. Just then we entered a one-way construction zone for several km. We opted not to return to see a Big Tree. About half of the group stopped for a Tsitsikamma Adventure - a cable ride through the tree canopy. Since I hadn't seen much canopy we bypassed that one. Turned out that this one was booked up but the group was able to get on another. It consisted of a half dozen different cables strung over a small waterfall and stream. Those who participated enjoyed it.
About half way to Jefferys Baii (Bay) we saw a group (gaggle, pride, ??? ) of baboons in a field in the distance. Must have been a dozen or so. We had seen signs warning not to feed them.
Our Caravan Park is in the middle of town, and right on the beach again. When we arrived the shoreline was all rock, but at high tide it was a long sandy beach. Lots of small spiral and snail shells. Most others were broken. After lunch we went downtown to pick up a few groceries, and to upload photos to the website. Tomorrow we are off to Addo Elephant Park and a couple of days away from towns and people.
