The Gummy's, RV Mobile Vision Quest
Welcome to RV Mobile Vision Quest, The Heroic Journey. Join us on our Rite of Passage, as we journey along seeking personal growth and spiritual fulfillment and guidance as the miles pass by and the journey unfolds.
There are Three stages in the Traditional Lakota Vision Quest. The first stage Severance, that of separation, detaching, letting go of the old. For us that would be the retiring, the selling of the sticks and bricks and letting go of the traditional work a day world of old.
The second stage- Threshold- beginning again with purpose, getting to know our selves as we pioneer our new adventure and become mobile, so that the vision that we have can come to full fruition.
The Third stage - Incorporation- To use our vision or purpose to make our new life rich with the abundance of new discovery's and friendships that we will encounter. And with the help of the Internet we will attempt to convey our visions and findings to all those that care to journey a long until they start their own mobile journey of enlightment.
Come a long with us as we go Confidently in the direction of our Vision— and live the life that we've Imagined. It is our most sincere wish that you return often to our site and share with us the pleasant Wonder of it all.
We are Jim and Jane Montgomery, A.K.A. The Gummy's. If you should meet up with us on the highway's and byway's in the RV, don't hesitate to call us the Gummy's.
"We Like It" We have been together forever, for us , that started in August of 1962. When I first saw her I thought she was HOT. She hated me---- that was one VISION I didn't have but I won.
The proverbial knot was tied on January 22 nd, 1965. We are the proud parents of three children, a son Chris, a daughter Shelly and a daughter Beth.
We also have three grand children, our oldest, my favorite grand daughter Kacie Jane,is always quick to remind me that she's our only grand daughter.
We also have the two grand sons, Jimmy Lee and Hunter "D". Proud ,Proud, Proud.
Our interest over the years have run the gambit in being RV- mobile, in some form or another, from having horses, traveling on a Gold Wing Motorcycle camping in tents, travel trailers, to a motor home. I'm sure somewhere between the travel trailer and the Gold Wing is where the RV Mobile Vision Quest got to be the strongest.
Our travel interest's include National Parks, National Monuments, scenic byways and those out of the way hidden wonders. I personally have a big passion to see as many of the High Vistas that this beautiful country has to offer. Jane will come along with me on these high and mighty excursions but she's not real crazy about it, just ask her about MT. Washington in the white mountains of New Hampshire. "Whew" Easy Girl.
We also like to dance and we would like to dance in all fifty states. We like to visit small town's and meet the colorful and interesting people that you meet there. I'm hoping to find some good stories about other folks, who have a vision or dream that they are looking forward to seeing come true someday.
In case you haven't guessed yet, it's me Gummy doing the writing and I'll try to keep this journal interesting and informative so grab a cup of coffee and tag along.
