2006: An Excursion to the Rooftop of the World 2005: Travels Through SE Asia
Nepal & Tibet, 2006: It has been a year since I first embarked on my traveling explorations through SE Asia. Significant changes, harsh challenges, and so much more than I could have expected happened in the mere span of a year. I have longed for nothing more but to once again travel, and to allow for a moment in time, the immersion of experiencing the richness of the lives of those that live in a world so foreign from mine. Maybe in my travels I will find the strengths of different people and lives to remind me of what living is all about. Everest in particular draws all sorts of people - dreamers, adventurers, cultural curiosity seekers. Hopefully a strong will, determination, hard work, and hopefully a little bit of luck, can make a difference.
SE Asia, 2005: Welcome to my travel log! Hopefully this will be the first of many more trips to come - to explore and to learn about the peoples and culture of other areas of our world... and maybe to obtain some enlightenment and adventure too! I will travel to different areas of Southeast Asia with a backpack of essentials and basic idea of areas I hope to visit -Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Vietnam from February through April.
