This morning we grabbed some lattes for the road and headed off in search of this very originally named place, Wilderness. After about 5 U-turns we eventually got the right turn-off and followed a short gravel road to the most beautiful hostel I have ever seen. The Beach House was very true to its name, literally a stone's throw away from a beautiful beach, as you'll see in the pictures. When the guy showed us the dorm room, I think all 3 of our jaws just dropped. The room was huge, bright, and airy, and had french doors which opened up onto a greenhouse-like kitchen, and then onto a patio for dining that looked right out onto the beach. It was absolutely stunning.

We got settled in and then headed off with Campbell and two other guys who were on the Bazbus with him, one Swedish guy and not sure where the other one was from, for some lunch in town. After that it was down to the beach for some sun-tanning (man do I ever need to get rid of this ridiculous farmer's tan that I have going on!) and then Jake and I took a walk along the train tracks to a beautiful bay just around the corner from the beach. Here we got a few good photos right before the sun went behind the mountain.

Back at the hostel we had a few beers with Andrew and Campbell and played some pool, which I pretty much got slaughtered in (except for the one game that I totally fluked out and beat Jake, who was like super-champion of his uni of something of the sort). The hostel had a special on where they were making real wood-fired pizzas for really cheap, so we took advantage of that before having a few more beers and a pretty early night.
