So our first night in Ko Samui, Randi, Steve, Monika and I treated ourselves to a great little Italian dinner in the Firsherman's Village (a short cab ride from our hotel). The village is so cute and it dominated by all these little (great looking) restaurants. The Italian place we went was a bit expensive but AWESOME! The chef is actually Italian and the food was unbelievable.
Last night we went out with the whole group to a place on the beach - the food was ok but somewhat of a disappointment after the night before! After dinner we hung around for drinks and I took a walk around the shopping street with Steve. The whole group then went to one of the famous "ladyboy" shows - basically this hilarious drag show - and it was so funny! The "lady's" performed Vegas-style to all these 80's and broadway songs - so fun.
Today we were all about travel - van to a bus to a ferry to a bus to an overnight train. Sadly, it appears that someone went through all our bags while we were on the ferry or on the bus and our bags were down below. Nothing of mine was missing (although I kept all my valuables with me) but they stole Steve's new cell phone. A definitely bad note for the end of the Thailand trip.
