Our last stop on the tour of the east coast before Sydney was a place inland called Barrington. We stayed at this little farm place and the scenery was so nice! After our surf lesson in the morning, we drove about 5 or 6 hours to Barrington, then we went on a bushwalk to see the old gold mines, and then I went night white water kayaking!! It was so much fun. We went down the river at about 10:30 at night with our single kayaks and a headlamp. You're supposed to go down single file but no one does so it ends being a little like bumper boats and you always hit rocks and stuff. I ended up flipping over at one point but it was more funny than anything. The last rapid was a grade 3 with 3 drops. Out of 40 of us only 8 did it!! It was a good way to end my adventures down the east coast.
