The fog/mist was clearing as we pulled into Portsmouth. The light at dusk was just right to allow for a grand tour of the harbor from the outer forts that are man made islands to the ships that defended the Crown in the 1700's and today.

It was late and we decided to take a cab to the hotel. After the 2 mile ride we were a quarter mile from the train station and the old harbor.
