We have been in Chicago since 0830 Central time. Drive from London to Detroit airport was uneventful. Although there were eleven of us on the bus and we hit customs right at shift change we were only inside for about 20 minutes. When we got to the airport in Detroit, check-in went smoothly and we were offered an earlier flight, which we took. This just meant that all our waiting was done at O'Hare airport. The earliest that we could get boarding passes was 1430 needless to say we were first in line. Once thru the security check point wireless Internet became available.

For all our care to reduce luggage and pack light was not good enough for Aer Lingus and we had to check our backpacks. I got my laptop into my day bag and of course I had my camera however I forgot to grab the cable to transfer pictures from the camera to the laptop so there aren't any of our pre-departure pictures. The pictures from the flight Detroit - Chicago are from Kayla.
