I've arrived!!
After a really good flight where everything went smoothly, I then did some good stressing in the 2HOUR queue for passport control. Stupidly thinking that the man from Global crossroads would just leave without me.....which of course he hadn't.
On the hour drive to Wangnoi, Ayuthaya he impressed me with his indepth knowledge of English football, there's nothing like a chat about David Beckham to make you feel right at home. What this man doesn't know about football just isn't worth knowing, he even knew all about Swindon Town (Dad you would have been impressed).
There are 5 other volunteers here at the moment, 4 American and 1 Danish. All very sweet and have made me feel right at home. The lady who owns the house is also very sweet and keeping bringing us delicious food to eat (there'll be no losing weight for me!)
Today i spent travelling around with Sukanya, seeing Ayuthaya (the former capital)visiting temples and learning all about Buddism, thai culture and language. Then she dropped me off at the local shopping centre and said when i had finished just to ask a tuk-tuk driver to take me home.
So i said bye, went in, realised for the first time ever I was too tired to shop, went outside and then realised i had no idea where home was! Luckily the volunteers are so well known around here (we stand out a mile) my lovely tuk-tuk driver dropped me straight to my door!
I would add some photos of my first few days but i've already managed to leave my camera in Sukanya's car (and not in the supermarket toilet as i first thought!) so i'll have to add some next time x x
