Llamas in the wild !!
View overlooking Chivay
Had a nice buffet breakfast at the hotel before leaving on a very comfortable bus journey for 4/5 hours to Chivay (Colca Canyon). We stopped often enroute to photograph scenery (snow-capped mountains and Llamas/Alpacas). Had a nice lunch on arrival, soup, various salads etc. and I had barbecue Alpaca (Very nice - like steak). Sarah had barbecue chicken. Hotel is really nice and overlooks a beautiful valley.
Around 3.45 we had a trial hike up a nearby mountain. Sarah and I are feeling fine, the odd headache but nothing serious. We are having plenty of water, coca-tea and coca-candy...
I obviously spoke to soon, Sarah had a bad migraine in the evening and when she got up for dinner she was sick in the hotel room. Sarah had an early night and I had a small amount of dinner with the group without Sarah.
