Yep! The GPS is broken, the RV is in the ditch, and we have no Roger's coverage! Today was not our day! (Oh ya! Did I mention the PMS)? The water's backed up in the shower, we ran out of propane, the sewage tank is full, Grandma's hit the bottle, but we're GOOD! This is no joke. That was our day. The good times are over. We've hit rock bottom. Surely it can only get better from here!

In reality, life has improved since yesterday. In the midst of that mess, we had much to be thankful for. We were SO glad that it was sunny, not rainy because while the motorhome was tippy, we could spend the 2 hour wait time outside, eating lunch. Secondly, I was sooo glad that Mom and Dad's cell coverage was with Telus and that it actually worked! Thirdly, I was sooo glad that Dad had bought special RV coverage through AMA. We actually used it!

Today, (Sept 11) was much less eventful and for that I was also thankful. We dropped a lot of money at the first Future Shop we could find to buy a new GPS, but thankfully, the new one seems better than the original! I'm so thankful that my parents have a sense of humor. Laughter is definitely getting us through a few of these rough spots.

Rough spots? What rough spots? Well, Ben's computer battery is on the fritz, so his computer is giving us grief, the new printer we bought landed on the floor a couple times so it's not quite acting like it should, all the electical stuff that we're plugging into the converter and then into the lighter keeps blowing fuses on the motorhome, and the battery for the mini-DVD player doesn't hold a charge either, thus putting more demands on the electricity converter. What happened to the GPS? Who knows? The plug is wiggly so it doesn't charge or get a solid connection when plugged in. Could the tech problems get any worse? Needless to say, the tension has been running a little high the last couple of days. Thankfully, the kids are learning tons! They're learning tons about all kinds of things-educational and otherwise! I'm learning that I have a great family and a good GOD! We are all safe and still laughing (and the motorhome is still in tact)! Wahoo!

Benjamin's Highlights:

Sept. 10th: Well, today was definitely different. Like the title says, our GPS is broken, the RV is in the ditch, Mom's phone has no coverage! We have definitely seen better days. It all started out just fine. We woke up, ate breakfast and then we were off to Sault Ste. Marie. Along the road we had to make a u-turn, so Opa decided that he was going to back into this trail, and then turn around. Only problem was he didn't back into the trail, he backed into the ditch. So we were there on the side of the road for 2 hours waving SOS signs at passing cars until AMA came and helped us. While we were waiting we decided to ride our bikes around. So we did until that got boring. Then we started to build jumps. It was all good fun until I made a jump a little to big and Mackenzie tried it first. He biffed so hard! He screwed up in mid air and landed with a big thud and a loud cry. It was soooo funny. Then for the rest of the day we had no propane, we were low on gas, and had almost no fresh water. Well, let's hope we have some better days to come.

Aimee's Highlights:

Sept. 9th We saw three sights in one day! Our first stop was another fort called Fort William. Fort William was a NorthWest trading company. The Hudson's Bay Company owned Lower Fort Garry and it was Fort William's competition. I enjoyed Fort William better because it had more interesting facts and stuff to see. Next we went to the place where the Terry Fox statue stands. I'm sure you know about Terry Fox. After we went to an Amethyst mine. We got to dig for Amethyst stones. It was fun. Amethyst is normally purple but can be different colors. I had an awesome day!

Mackenzie's Highlights:

The last three days have been really adventuresome! First of all, we saw an amethyst mine and I thought it was a classic! I loved digging for amethyst gems-I found so many. Secondly, we got stuck in the ditch and while we were waiting for the tow truck we got to ride bikes on the side of the highway. I made a jump for my bike and I wiped out! I scraped up my shin. Thirdly, we drove, drove and drove, and then stopped at an RV shop to buy toilet paper! Then, we drove, drove, and drove...
