Our first campsite
Sunset on Lake Ontario
Up early and met our group at 730am. Our trek leader was RJ and there were 12 of us in our group, mostly from the UK, Emma, Sarah, Katie, Jon, Helen and Laura but Kiki and Sonja were from Austria, Johan from South Africa and Bennet from Germany. We soon got to know each other on the long van ride north through New York State also passing through Pensylvania. Stopped off at Geneva for a spot of wine tasting before arriving at Niagra Falls and our first camp site. It was a lovely site right by Lake Ontario, we could see Toronto 54 miles across the lake. There was a fabulous sunset that night. It was also Sarah's birthday so we had a cake for her 30th before heading to see the falls by night.
The falls were amazing and all lit up in different colours. Also a firework display to end the evening.
