We arrived safely at 2:00am last night. Silly us, we booked a hostel but didn't realize we booked it a day early. Oops! So we did what every other backpacker does and made our way to the infamous Khoa San Road aka backpackers ghetto. We felt a bit overwhelmed by the loud music, large rambunctious crowds, and stench of urine. But don't worry, it was quite safe and we found a nice place to stay for the night. We plan on making our way to the Hualamphong Train Station and leaving Bangkok to get to our next destination which is Ayuthaya (the old capitol of Thailand).
Will write again soon.
