Fire ants - Dec 16, 2008 - Tallahassee, Florida, United States

We left Carl and Marylynn at about 10:30 AM and got on the road to Pensacola. It was warm enough yesterday and today to break out the shorts and sandals!! Yipee!! But I did another booboo. When we stopped in Tallahassee for gas, I took the dogs out for a walk. When I stopped, I didn't notice I was standing on a fire ant hill.......BIG MISTAKE!!! HUGE!!! All of the sudden my feet were on fire!! I shook my shoes off, swatted at my feet to kill the little biting devils...all while trying to keep control of Benji and Spencer. Back in the RV, I lotioned my feet and legs but they are still angry red and itching. I bet enough bites by those little critters could kill you!! or maybe make you wish you were dead anyway....

Got an email from Mom, she arrived safely in England and had a good journey. A couple on the plane took her under their wings and helped her all throughout the journey. God is good all the time.
