Christmas in Canada. After the heat of KL, arriving back to a freezing Quebec was quite a shock to the system. After two days we had a great snow storm, with close to 10 inches of snow falling - see the attached photo of clearing the car. After a few days in Sherbrooke we drove to the small village of Piopolis for Christmas day at the family cottage. As the attached photos show, the lake and surrounding scenery are quite stunning. The small village of Piopolis lies on Lac Megantic in the Eastern Townships, very close to the Maine border. It is still undeveloped and a great place to relax in either the winter or summer. Despite the Christmas day festivities I managed to drag myself out of bed early on Boxing day to go for a walk and take some photos.....it was well worth it...... Next stop Montreal, en route back to KL and my last two days at work before heading off on my travels.......
