Day 4
Actually a day later.
What a beautiful morning. The sun is rising. The sky is a crystal clear blue.
Yesterday, day four, was clear as well but not as warm. We had a great ride around the lake head. You would come over a rise and see the awesome vista spread before you. We stopped often and spoke to several people and eventually made it into Thunder Bay around 3:30pm. We stopped for gas and to get directions for shopping. I needed a mouse to make this more doable, Gas for my stove, (I lost my canister somehow), an extension cord, something to charge my phone, a travel mug for Greg and the list goes on. We found a great little campground just off the highway for the staggering price of $25. By the time Greg and I got back from shopping with the Family size pizza and salad makings, and some wine. Terry had showered and made friends with the local natives, literally. Maybe it was because off the bikes, but the old lady at the office had put us with the Party crowd. Terry had got things started with the harmonica; we’ll play a concert for you when we get back, and we all did a lesson. A very interesting night with a man from Nova Scotia, a native woman, someone from Finland celebrating her 50th birthday etc., all drinking a bit to much but having a very interesting and good time. We will have to make some time today-Winnipeg by Sunday.
