Well, after a scare at the train station in Paris (Zacks passport is expired - a small detail that i missed !!!) we gained entry to the UK. A lovely ride on Euro rail, first class...and arrived at St. Pancreas station in London, where Sharon met us. We've rented a car here (upgraded by the rental firm to Mercedes C class - no charge!) and drove a couple of hours west of London to the village of Shilton, in the Cotswold's region. We've staying in an amazing English cottage with Sharon and Justin...in a tiny village...2 churches and a pub - that's it! Last night was a community picnic complete with pig roast and a band. Yesterday we explored the gardens/buildings of an eccentric Brit, and visited a Lavender farm....today we're off to Oxford. Unfortunately our plan to punt on the Thames have been foiled by rain. Harry Potter, however, is just opened, so we will spend a little time in the theatre...after a proper roast/Yorkshire pudding English pub meal. That's it...time to get ready and go!
